This is true, i just rode in my first silverado last friday, they are really nice trucks. For me the new tundras are just too big! The old tundra's are really nice. So yes titan or silverado! F-150; Meh...unless its a raptor :D

remember that a new truck will be covered under warranty with all issues, for me, i drove my truck like a race car, light to light runner...( my imature side of showing my truck is better than yours type of attitude ) i had almost all the aftermarket parts i could get minus the cam shaft and supercharger they had at the time, aftermarket is shit for the titan, IMO it is a great truck in the eighth mile anything after that it falls on its a s s. now you probably wont' do the stuff i did so this might be a great truck for you, i have a co-worker who bought his titan a month after i did, he still has it with no real problems, going on 5 years now. He still loves it. it has great towing power and he tows 4 -up snowmachine trailers and he tows his 23 foot boat.

I do agree, that is a great price; however, there is a reason that they can let the Titans go for so cheap.

Be sure not to get in a hurry and pull the trigger on something just because it seems like the deal is too good to last. Trust me, there will be massive savings on full-size trucks for years to come.

Just for comparison...here is a Double Cab Tundra with 403 miles on it, Certified Used, for $29k. There are deals like this all over the place.

I don't want to sound like I am trying to sway you one direction or the other, but this is exactly how I think about these situations when they present themselves to me. It's all just my $.02.

Sounds like a good deal on the Titan, but like the others have stated do your research. If my commute was not so far I would dump my Taco for a new Ford F150 in a heartbeat. Just my humble option. Good luck man!

Titan resell will hit the shitter faster then last nights hotwings. Look for a good used 03 -04 tundra crew they hold up good and are priced good now. Carfax or cert. used from a toyo dealer is the way to go. Good luck on whatever you get... Jim

Maybe its a regional thing but my 2011 Tundra was the same price as the Titan. CM they were offering bigger rebates on end of Model Year.
Unless you want the Titan of course.
In the end, it is your money and you know your situation better than anyone.
    GLW your purchase. :)

I would definitely look into the certified used Tundra thing a little better. Sometimes you can find one with less than five thousand miles on it for under 30 grand, and those warranties are great. Majority of those certified used warranties are 7 year/100,000 mile warranties. You really can't beat it. I know a few of the guys my step father works with had Titans and they all got out of them because of things like transmission issues and the fact that Titans arguably get the worse gas mileage out of any full size truck. I know that they complained quite a bit about that, granted full size truck's mileage sucks anyway. . . I see people say don't worry about brand loyalty, but for the most part you know your getting a good product when you get a Toyota.

Check this out, I know it's not your area, but a local dealer in my area has this Tundra for 29 grand with only 148 miles on the odometer.

i see you're in columbia, sc. at the toyota dealership in gastonia, nc, they are giving really huge discounts on the tundras. i am also looking at getting a full-size, and i have been talking to them a little. it may be worth your time to give them a try, if you consider a tundra over a titan.
