I was also down to the Wrx and teh Tacoma and settled on a doublecab 4x4 sport v6 manual. Everyone told me I was crazy and that I really needed to decide what I wanted because I was comparing two completely different vehicles. I did not see it that way. I often end up parking is dirt fields when I go to bike races and rides. Often in ditches and very to rough places. I have a BMW now and have gotten stuck several times. A Subaru or Tacoma would work great for me seeing as I need all wheel drive occasionally and the truck bed is just a nice to have. Thanks for validating that there is someone else out there as "crazy" as me

I know what you mean. I went to the Toyota Dealer this Sunday and a few yards away, there it was, a Subaru Dealer. Had to make a quick stop, so I thought. I stayed there for about 15 mins. Looking and having a feel for the WRX. My wife looked at me and said "Can you please make up your mind already." She doesn't understand.

Ok, will I be safe with the Off-Road if I take it to the snow?

And should I consider a manual or a auto? Once again, I do live in a heavy traffic area and take the 101 frequently. Never own a Manual car, but friends are willing to teach me with Mazdas Speed3 and VW GTI. Is it similar to a motorcycle?
