I just have to say I finally got my remote starter/alarm installed. it took two days of 8hrs each. Much harder than I expected because the stupid pkall didn't appear to program so I had to ring out all the wires ect just to find out it was working. It just doesn't flash when programmed like the manual states. I also forgot to ground pin h2/18 which is the neutral safety input(additional to neutral safety switch!!!!). I am glad I did this install because at least I know it wasn't butchered. I have seen many unhappy customers at best buy with broken interior pieces and intermittent starts and battery drain issues due to poor splices and careless installers with 2hrs to do the job. Also did the 4x4 switch mod which was a piece of cake. Don't forget you will need a relay for the second start wire.

Just installed my viper 5901 this last weekend, I used a Directed 556U and hid my valet key inside. These bypasses work very well, used for years.

I just got my system today from the ups guy. I'm dreading this install. But I have an 02 Tacoma. And I can't find a really good write up on how to install.

To make things easier what I did was group the wires going to same places. Ie ignition switch, door harness ect. And labeled them with colors they are going too and basic description. Heat shrink or tape over first foot of each branch and cap off spares with heat shrink. Also pre-connected all relays and immobilizer wires. If you do this right you won't even need the connection diagram while you are installing your system.
