Flare ups!

i was curious if anyone here has used the short bed Bushwackers flares for a long bed truck, and what did you have to do to make them work? I really dont understand why we cannot use shortbeds on longbeds, but I could understand how the long beds would not work for the SB, I am wondering if someone has seen this first hand and if you can offer any advise. I think I can make them work and I am going to buy some from another member, just was hoping someone else may have done it that can offer advise?? Thanks JOE>
