Anybody know if a 1st gen locked axle, from a TRD OR, would fit a second gen non-OR? Thanks

I picked up the December 4wheel drive mag the All Pro 08 Tacoma is in it and on the cover. It said the sport comes with a 8.4-inch rear axle and the TRD has a 8.0-inch with the E-locker. Says the 8.4 is much stronger.

The narrow thing, that is what I was thinking. Thanks for the quick replies.
