.....and Toyota says I can get eaten by the Loch Ness Monster and be just peachy. Marketing is not indicative of performance or actual vehicle use.

I think the suspension setup on the raptor is great and is indeed meant for jumping. But it's not meant for jumping a SIX FUCKING THOUSAND POUND TRUCK!!!

    (check it out, it's 6200lbs)

Toyota never actually claimed that, it was a commercial. Ford HAS said the raptor was designed by svt to be a fully offroad ready vehicle ready to be jumped. Regarding the large group that all bent their frames all ford said was they should have pre-run it first. The problem is that it was not an isolated incident. Basically Ford did not know what they were getting into and are trying to relieve themselves of liability. As for the weight, you are correct, they should have built up the ranger, but the f150 is their top selling truck so that's what they chose.

^Agreed. But everything has limits. A small jump isn't the same as a large jump and the landing is very important too. If Toyota said you could jump the 2013 Tacoma it's best you start with a small burm instead of trying to gap the Grand Canyon. I'd imagine that the guys with bent frames hit the bump stops pretty damn hard.
