You know 245 is the width of the tread, not the height of the tire, right?

My TRD Sport has the same style steel wheel as yours but in 17" and it came with 265/65/17 Bridgestone Dueler HT, same size and type as the other 4. I would think thats how it should be on all trucks. Also I did not have a problem with the jack although it took me some time getting the damn spare off of under the truck. Probably did not help that it was -28C outside. :D

The original tire size on TRD Sports is 265/65/17 not 245. 245/75/16 would be the original on non TRD SR5. 265/70/16 on TRD Off Road.

Since you need to buy a new tire you might want to find another wheel and get two tires to match the other three tires and get a nice hyd. jack to complete your spare setup.
Don't run the shorter heigth spare too far on the rear. The diff will not be too happy thinking it is turning all the time.

Yep. My spare is almost an inch narrower than the stock tire and on a different size rim. 245/75 R16 and 265/65 R17 are about the same except width. 9.65" (245) vs. 10.43" (265)

I bought 265/70 Duratracs (same width as stock, slightly larger diameter) which makes my spare seem extra small.

I am more curious how many TRD Sport owners out there got a 16" spare?

Just dropped the truck off to have a new Duratrac put on. It cost me $47 OTD because I bought the Discount Tire replacement warranty. Woot!

One more reason to get the Off Road TRD? You get the same tire as a spare the truck comes with! Is this for real, no 17" spare for the Sports?

Same here...all tires (including the spare) were 265/70/16 when I bought my truck. I'd be pissed if the spare was a different size! If you had to engage 4wd with mismatched tire sizes wouldn't that do some damage?

If it had been a rear flat (and I was forced to drive around punishing my rear differential) I would have been more pissed. Luckily:confused: it was the a front tire.

I feel like the dealership owes me a 265/65 R17 spare - the one that should have been under my truck to start!

TRD Sport owners - go out and look at your spare, make sure it is the right size!
