It doesn't sound like DirecTV are the bad guys here.

lol. they are doing a lot of finger pointed huh....this is from fox:

    QUESTION: IS OUR PROPOSAL “UNREASONABLE"?

ANSWER: DirecTV says Fox Networks wants a 40% increase. That’s just not true. We’ve asked them to pay the same price for your favorite networks, shows and sports programming that their competitors pay. AND, we are willing to keep our channels on while we continue our talks, instead, DirecTV has decided to drop your favorite shows and sporting events

Same thing happened last year, with Dish Network and I missed Rangers games leading to the playoffs. They resolved it, and we have them again. :D

In was going to do this, but you can't watch live sports on Hulu. That's pretty much the only reason I went with DirecTV. I had it installed about 2 weeks ago. Crap.

I don't think it affects the NFL Sunday Ticket package, since that is a boutique package which people purchase separately. I also think you still get your over-the-air local FOX stations, since not all are owned by FOX and I think negotiate their own agreements with the providers. (Example: KCPQ FOX 13 here in Seattle is owned by Tribune)

I got Directv 2 weeks ago also. Pretty bummed. There is a paragraph (I read many on different sites) that this may affect LOCAL FOX channels also. I also saw FSN/ROOT Sports - WHEN YOU FUCK WITH MY OREGON DUCK FOOTBALL GAMES - YOU ARE GETTING REAL PERSONAL WITH ME!!!!

Got to get me one of these http://www.amazon.com/Paper-Thin-Leaf-Indoor-Antenna/dp/B004QK7HI8/ref=wl_mb_hu_m_5_dp

    ...or one like FINK found.

They should really just come out and say it, "This contract is going to change, we are not going to notify you in advance, and you will end up getting screwed in the end. Thank you for choosing DirecTV."

It's just a 20.00 zenith square flat thing you can set face up or hang on the wall like a picture. It's hooked to an rca digital converter since the TV is a 20" Toshiba picture tube TV that evidently has an analog tuner.

Here is the converter box - 49.00 at Wallyworld

    Antenna - 21.00 at Wallyworld

I live approx 30 miles from the metro area.....
