Shadow is at Peace now, He no longer feels pain when trying to get up and he owes it too you, you were his life long companion who loved him enough to look past your own pain and make the decision he needed at this time.

You were there for him when he needed you most.

Very sorry to hear about Shadow. Remember all of the good years you had with him and the love and loyalty he brought into your life.

 

I know exactly how you feel. I had to put my 14 year old Lab, Boscoe, down on Feb 1. He was my 85 lb lap dog and the house just isn't the same without him.

He was wasting away, though, and went down so fast that Sunday afternoon. I knew it was time by the look he gave me, he did not want to suffer any more.

sorry for your loss. i know how you feel.i put 3 dogs down three years in a row.18yr maltese,13 yr old sheperd.11yr old pitbull. each time i brought them to the vet to do the deed.i cried like a little bitch every time.

 

Over time the memories of Shadow will fill that empty hole in your heart. Blessings to Shadow.

 

So sorry you had to "do the deed". Been there, done that, and the only good thing out of it, is he isn't suffering anymore. You will see your beloved Shadow again.
