Oh Drew, I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I'll never understand suicide. It's such a permanent solution to a temporary problem. I know at the moment whatever hell one is going through they must remember that they go THROUGH it, they very rarely STAY in it. :(

    ((hugs))

Be strong Drew. I know it hurts but be be strong through the funeral. Eat good and get some rest.

    But cry.

    You need to cry.

You have to cry. It's good if you do. It really is. :)

Don't go over the "what ifs" because that's all under the bridge now. Just know that you were best friends and know that the times he spent with you made him happy. And that is why you guys were BEST friends. That he loved you. And for that you can celebrate!!

    Remember that.

Drew, I'm so sorry to hear about that.

Two summers ago, I had two friends kill themselves within a couple months of each other. One hung herself in March, in her dorm room, and the other jumped off a bridge in June. I grew up with both of them, and they won't ever be forgotten.

I know it's weird, but just remember they never go far. I had a few dreams about them right after, and both times they told me they'd be there, just in different form. I bought a couple house plants the next day, and I swear I can feel them at the times I need guidance the most.

You're in my thoughts, I hope you and River's friends and family stay strong through this, and that your friend, River, may rest easy.

Yes, Panther is right. They DO stay near you and they DO come to you in your dreams. It's the greatest feeling ever. It's a genuine comfort and security. And the thing is, you will know...you will FEEL...that River is okay now. He really is okay. No more pain for him. But you will know that. In your heart you will know that, Drew. :)

Ditto. We don't exactly get called to Suicides, but I've seen more people pass to the other side then your average bear. If you need someone to bullshit with, rant to etc you can hit me up too if need be.

If there's one thing I can say it's this. Whatever pain or depression your friend was feeling, it's gone now at the very least. Stay strong man.
