Well I'm a new owner of an 09 SR5 4 cyl, and so far tis great! I've got some foglights on the way to replace those plugs, but my next question here is on nerf bars. I like the idea of having a step, and my 5'2" girlfriend likes the idea even better, so has anyone had any experience just ebaying a set? like these :
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005...Accessories&hash=item2314d3149c#ht_3650wt_846

bear in mind I'm not going to be doing anything nuts with the truck, the occasional trail to get to a campsite, and probably blasting through snowstorms...point being I dont need super awesome rock sliders or anything.

    Thanks for any advice!

If u go eBay check out truckchamp I ordered a set of this n they worked n looked great. I in turn got a custom set from avid, some step bars but have my dad my truck champ ones n they r still holding up great.

I have some Chrome nerfs I took off my truck when I bought it, in pretty good shape, some tar splatters on the bottom. From a 1st gen, you'll have to ask the experts here if they'll fit a 2nd gen. They're yours for $75 + shipping (ouch).

It's a good idea plus most tacomas don't have door guards if u find the right ones they will protect your doors from other people hitting them ... Food for thought
