Its all in how you go about doing it is the way I see it. Granted I have a prerunner big deal but im not going to get myself in a predicament which will cause me to get stuck and possibly break stuff on my truck. All I have is a lift tires and factory locker and I do alright. I will eventually swap mine over to 4 wheel drive whether it be ifs or solid its still in planning . I also own a 4x4 which will be going under the knife

Same. It's like everyone got jealous :p

No offense, but that's not true - Uwharrie changes a lot week to week. Depending on what's rutted out, lockers can be useful in a lot of places.

If it rains and the trails get wet, a locker can be usefull almost everywhere.

    Yeah. Fixing that was fun.

Most of you worried about gear issues: Don't be. It's only the e-locker rear ends in the TRD Offroad 4x4s that are vulnerable.

So i guess I should use my A-Trac instead of locking my diff then. In other words A-Trac > locker

Not to be rude but it is kind of hard to buy ANOTHER new truck since i just bought a new pre runner 11/2/2010. It will take a few years before I hace equity in the truck. Honestly I don't even plan on getting rid of this truck. It is a nice size truck to get around town in, gets decent gas mileage and will run forever....just cant see getting another truck.

Not saying you should dump your truck for a 4x4. What I said in my post was a suggestion to not spend a lot of money trying to make your truck a trail rig- that is all

Oh I dont plan on doing that at all, that is what the Honda Rincon is for. I would just like to personalize it a bit with a lift and a nice set of wheels and tires. I mean after I put the wheels and tires on it I doubt it would ever see much mud (to much money to tear them up)

Less skinny pedal the better. More gas is rarely the answer offroad.
