Painting Cab Black

I have been blacking out my cab little by little seeing how I liked it.

I started with the center console and the front lower dash. I used Duplicolor Flat Black Vinyl paint and I liked the results. Then, when I went to install my audio system and custom under the seats subs, I took the time to deaden the floor and also to change the carpet to black.

Loving it so far. Now I am installing the black leather and ran into a problem.

Seatbelts... I know I can easily buy the seatbelt webbing black and get it attached by some upholstery guy. However the latches and locks for the seatbelts are grey. Those areas will come into a lot of contact and I do not trust the Duplicolor paint for it. Would SEM paint be good enough or will I need something else? Any ideas as to what will withstand such areas that come into a lot of contact? Or... should I just leave the seatbelts grey? They might look out of place.


Anyhow. Ideas? Suggestions? Tips? Bullets for my head?

I'd be curious how paint holds up on vinyl over time....

 

Well the SEM paint is supposed to be a kind of dye. It is so far what I think I will be using.

Also, it ain't paint on vinyl. Its Duplicolor Vinyl Paint.

As a side note: I have had my lower dash and center console painted with this for about a year or more. It has held up great so far. I still don't trust it though. Lol.



Most contact parts like where you grab the door has been done in Redline leather grips, so the only problem area I am having is the damn seatbelts.
