Mine has good retention to it as well which apparently can be adjusted. I'm not LEO yet but when it happens it'll help.

My major concern was wearing it while riding the motorcycle. If I wreck I want it to stay there and not end up sliding across the road for someone else to grab. (oddly I bet if I ever did wreck my first thought would be "my gun" second thought would be allll about my bike)

And 10-4 about horse hide.. thought it was just suppose to be more comfy.

Yea wearing cheap belt. Which I do need a new one anyways since all of mine are now too big :( Didn't really think belts could be good or bad..

I run a blade tech in the waist band holster for my G23 during concealed ops, and I have a fobus paddle holster that fits my 22, 23, 26, and 34 in it for days I'm in the office. IMHO I like the blade tech because it's not much bigger than the hardware, unlike some of the big leather ones pictured above.

@ liltuffgirl, yeah your belt makes a big part of your carry rig. go to one of you local stores and try them on with your carry hoslter and weapon( unloaded of course for saftey, and depending on your gun stores rules). My milt sparks belt looks like its a normal belt but it actually has a reinforcement sewn in between the pieces of leather to help the belt from rolling out away from the body and to help prevent "printing".. Ive never had anyone know im carrying and been carrying for 6 years now..

Another alternative to the supertuck besides op's is the KHolster, he's local for guys in the St Louis area and will make up a holster for any gun if he doesn't already offer one.

For my situation and how I carry...I use a Remora.

My situation involves a 'quick on' and 'quick off' - I appendix carry with a Bodyguard380.

The Remora looks like a pocket holster but is very effective on waistband. It's very comfortable & small and gets a lot of rave reviews. It's the only holster I use.

Milt Sparks Summer Special 2. I've been using it for almost three years now. I carry a full size 1911 and have never had any problems. + 1 on the quality belt that can make all the difference.

I rock a Raven Concealment for OWB carry, and I have another for IWB carry. I've also used the belt clip style on my HK and found that was pretty comfortable and easy to draw on.

I've used other IWB holsters, including Galco. I went with a Crossbreed supertuck last year. Absolutely the best IWB holster I've used. After using the standard clips for a few months I ordered their belt and velcro clips, total concealment, tucked or untucked. I carry a Glock 23 and Kahr K40. I have carried a 5" 1911 but it was a bit large for my build.

For OWB carry I currently use a Don Hume 721 OT. Carries well but I would prefer a bit more rake.

Whatever one uses, a good belt is a must.

I carry my Glock 23 at the 4:30 position with a Kirkpatrick IWB holster. It needs a decent belt for the khaki shorts but it alows me to conceal with just a T-shirt.

I don't carry yet (19), but when I do, I will carry a 1911 in Some sort of kydex leather mix, probably on the side or small of back.

but when i am out in the woods or target shooting, I carry a ruger mk III .22 in a triple k belt holster, nothing fancy, but it does the job i want it to

I carry a j-frame in a cheap pocket holster with some reinforcement sewn in by me. Backed up by a Glock in a Crossbreed Ojai holster in couple strategic off-body locations. ;)

I've found after carrying for about 10 years that I'll leave it at home if I can't carry it in my pocket. I might move up to a Kimber Solo next year but I don't feel undergunned with my snubbie.

+1 on getting a gun belt... regular belts sold at retail stores are like 1/2 the thickness of gun belts, and more prone to sag and not work well... save the money and get a gun belt.

..also carry extra ammo; at least one extra mag for a pistol, and at least one speedloader for revolver... ...you never know... and a fresh mag could be handy if the one in the gun is causing malfunction..

taken one already, with the carry test lol, when i was 16.....passed with flying colors, and a family friend of ours is an NRA certified pistol coach, though i will probably go to some of the many workshops/courses to me available to me. But since one is recomended, i will take it.

edit: i looked at the website, and to say that i will only take one is a lie, try multiple
