dont think so?, the first thing I did after I installed mine was update the the kenwood firmware and the garmin software, I cannot get mine to loade a background either. I have decided it just isnt needed. with all the touch screen buttons I would barely be able to see it anyway. I use the ipod most and when not on ipod it is the nav, so theres my background right there, I just said screw it!

 

I'll all but given up. Part of me just wants to make it work because it should. I know I won't really be able to see it but i'm sure it would still be better then just the plain background. well if anyone has any ideas let me know. Other than this issue the HU ROCKS!!! I've been showing it off to everyone and now I think a couple of my friends are going to get the same one. I should get commission from kenwood or something.

P.S. Just wanted to clarify that its not just the background issue for me, it doesn't recognize the usb at all so I can't use that for media.

 

Guys I would maybe call Kenwood......

that being said I love mine and I am not worried about the background, lol
