    I have been considering taking the stripe off of my truck but was afraid i would have to touch up the paint where it was. Has anyone done this and did you have to do anything to the paint where it was?

    The paint will be fine. Just wax the area after and it should remove any residue left from the stripe.

    I took my bed side decals off. the truck was 14 months old and i couldn't tell where the decal was. i used a spray on wax and dry after and it turned out fine...
