Back on track I drove on ice tonight. I was all over the place until I dropped the pressure in my tires from 35 to 32. Not a huge difference but it made all the difference with the sliding.

I have a regular cab with 265/75r16 hankook ATMs.

Just make sure you get some thin tires to help cut through some snow. I got my winter tires studded at a local tire shop for $140 all around, and it does amazing. Plus, 260# sand bags filled with traction sand, just in case. ;)

I only have a 4x2, but once I weigh the bed down with sandbags it's great. Before that I can't get rolling hardly and forget getting started uphill. Afterwards I can pretty much go whereever I want. Just slow.

Ya tire pressure is key, I have a dedicated set a snow tires for the winter ( in my opinion no better for snow than snow tires, just expensive) but if your using an A/T make sure at the the proper pressure, softer=better :)

For now just the stock aluminum ones that came on it, tires are the stock Dunlops too. Not so sure how those are going to handle in the snow, they seem to be really refined for snow and ice. The snow we got yesterday did not even stick to the pavement anywhere, hopefully next time it will though.
