Load ratings for 265/75/16 tires

I am getting ready to upgrade from the stock tires to either the BFG MT KM2 or Cooper STT 265/75/16. The stock tires (265/70/16) have a "C" load rating, which are rated to about 2200 lbs per tire. The tires I am looking at to replace the stockers with have an "E" load rating which are rated to about 3200 lbs. For those who have gone with these tires how do you like them and why and have you noticed that the new tires are stiffer on the street. If you air them down to go off roading have you noticed a loss of grip than a "C" rated tire. I also noticed that all of the 15" tires have a "C" load rating. Any help is always appreciated.

 

i was wondering the same thing, i dont know whether to get D or E.

 

E load tires are great for Ford F350s and such... D load tires are good for your Tacoma... However, I couldn't get my tires in a D, so I opted for the E load tires...

They're stiff. But not terribly noticeable...
