Was wondering if a company made a gauge for tacomas that read instant mpg and average mpg. I think it would be cool to have. Is there such thing for these trucks? If so, where can I get one? I think it would be a nice interior accessory :D

Yep, very popular. Search for it. About $140 I think and has TONS of options and digital gauges, including your requested MPG.

For a much much more inexpensive solution, we're putting ELM327 blue tooth dongles in both our Tacomas, combined with the Torque application for Droids. $30 total for everything the Scangauge II can do? Yes, please!

Buy from Amazon so that you can easily return if dongle doesn't work first time around.

    http://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-ELM-Scanner-OBDII-Diagnostic/dp/B004B7YXOM

Works with 1996+ models, or those with OBDII protocols, and also works with 2009+ models that use CANbus.

(read down the list of what it can do. Turn off check engine light? Hells yes! Use to read diagnostics codes? Damn straight!)

Oh! Does it currently not support iPhones? I thought "a blue-tooth enabled device" was all it needed, but perhaps the weakest link is finding the appropriate app in which to run it with. "Torque" I think is just one of the apps, but iPhones may have another app specifically for them, under a different name.

I also have one of these. I use the app Dash Command, haven't used torque but Dash command is pretty legit since I didn't pay for it.
