Me and my wife are both active duty military. We pay 288 a week just in day care expenses. Add in diapers, wipes, food, we are closer to 2 grand a month in baby expenses.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Kids in daycare tend to walk/talk faster and better than kids with family members. Not always true of course, but 90% of the time. Kids see other kids walking talking and they pick up on it faster. Plus they tend to be less shy around other kids as well. For us this was important. So we did daycare instead of family. Yeah its 125$ a week or so, but he was walking at 10 months and talking soon after. Saying his ABC's at 2 1/2 yrs. Knows his colors, shapes. Can count to 20 perfectly. He misses a few numbers after that, but he knows most all the way to 50. Tons of words. Its just like talking to an adult. Credit it mostly to daycare. We taught him some stuff, but most we tried to teach him, he already knew from school.

Went yesterday and no heartbeat, but my wife thinks they are off on the dates. They told her she was 7 and a half weeks before yesterday. Yesterday they changed it to 6 weeks and 3 days. According to her, she should only be 4-5 weeks. We are going for one more ultrasound Tuesday to see if all hope is lost.

Bummed, but there is still hope. Everything looked great internally, just heard no heartbeat yesterday. Her hormone levels are out the roof, so that's a good sign. They were expecting them to be low. I think the doctor just misdiagnosed.

Also, Kris, we already signed up for Amazon Mom. 20% off diapers and free shipping. Can't beat it.
