Future Tacoma Buyer Here ???

Actually doing research for most likely fall of 2012. Looking to retire in 2013 and currently we have 2 cars and a 2004 F150. Want to get one vehicle to replace the truck and 1 car......keep other for travel in retirement. Anyway, leaning towards the double cab 6 cyl. now. probably 4*2 vs. 4*4. few time's i'd need a 4*4 just not worth the added cost. Not looking at any offroad stuff, or alot of hauling but will use for misc. projects, bulk mulch, soil etc. from time to time.
Interested in others as to MPG they're getting (assume 11 and 12 models to keep more current). Haven't driven one yet, but would assume decent ride since a Toyota. I'll most likely test drive a 4 cyl. as well and do more research on it etc for MPG etc. That's important but don't want to kick myself for getting a 4 vs. a 6 after the fact.
Been reading some of the other posts/topics....good info. Well, back to work.

 

check fuelly.com I am getting an avg of 17.7 mpg. It drops drastically when you tow or let the truck warm up often.
