cleaning out the throttle body

    is there a trick to getting the intake off the throttle body to clean it out? also if there is any seafoamers out there is this where i spray the deep creep?

    uhh unscrew the metal band around the throttle body and pull it off..?

    hahahahaha. i tried that. the whole intake is in front of it. is there any bolts i am missing to move the intake?

    none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
    Which generation do you have? On the old ones, you remove the black metal tube and the box it is attached to by unbolting it from underneath the black box, right above the exhaust manifold. Then it'll come loose. Not sure about the new ones though.

    sorry guess i should have mentioned that. i have an 07. i know the picture sucks. the center silver thing in the pic is the throttle body i assume. to the left of it is the entire intake air filter and all. i have loosened the ring but does not seem to budge.

    Hmmm... well, if it were me, I'd go to the parts store and get a shop manual. Otherwise, its a crap shoot. That looks totally different from the previous gen.
