...passed the US house... i'm a life (endownment) NRA member, life SAF member, life GOA member, and active in my local grassroots firearms PAC...

that said, ...i'm not that excited about this bill, ...i don't want washinton d.c. meddling w/ this at all - time has shown they get involved in things they have no authority to, and screw it up...

they do have the authority because the states ratified the 14th amendment and a lot of states are denying civil rights...

...i'm not sure entirely,... this bill is not about which states allow concealed carry, ..it is about making one state honor all concealed carry licenses from other states whom issue them... the current system of reciprocity is a PITA for us, ...but, i think that inconvenience is offset by the fact that the federal gov't isn't involved (yet)!

    seems pretty clear to me

    14th Amendment Section 1

for example South Carolina is most certainty denying me equal protection by now allowing me to carry a weapon and they are most certainly enforcing the law to do so...because i dont own property there or live there...all based on the fact i live across a border in another state

yes, but usually, you aren not fully "denied", as open carry is legal in many states (no license required), so that applies to non-residents in lawful possession.. some even have "constitutional carry" provisions, ...now, some states, are true offenders - i.e. CA, IL, NJ, MA, etc... but i don't think this law gets to the root of that, ..at least not for IL, anyway...

sure, the way it is now is far from "ideal", but, for now, i think it's better w/out the camel's nose under the tent..

no in south carolina im fully denied...oc is not legal and i have a florida license but sc wont honor that because i dont live in florida..

my home state of ga is in the same class as maryland etc because we are a non traditional open carry state if you carry openly without a license you go to jail....
