I appreciate the help. Most people have just told me to search, but searching just gets me turned in a circle and back to where I was a the beginning of the search. Would you recommend any certain place to get the components from?

Wheelers, downsouth Motorsports both good vendors.

If you're going to wheel your truck, do the install yourself so you've got the skills to fix what you break.

a spacer lift will affect the ride down the road for sure ie, stiffness they basically preload the spring it can also be a complete disaster if you ever go wheeling with your truck as well. the wrong move and snap there goes your shock :)

this has to have been posted a zillion times before but let it be said again for a cheap lift that rides nice billies and springs.

for just a little more coin you could step up to ome imo the best choice for a 3inch you can get.

a little above that toyotec then the higher dollar set-ups like king fox and icon all that i have just mentioned will be a great lift for the money all make quality products.

i personally would go with the ome shit it's just better engineered than the rest double walled shocks ome specific valving to play nicely with there choice of spring rates and the option to get those awesome dakar leafs in the rear instead of just an adda leaf.

i meant ot say they are all nice but, when considering price the ome kit is going to be very hard to beat when you look at what your getting arb engineers everything to death so they just work.

Don't believe everything you read here. Sure, there are helpful people/posts on this forum... but the ones worth paying any attention to are few and far between. A lot of them are just repeating what they heard from the idiot before. This is the internet after all...

33's will look plenty meaty with Camburg spindles. Go with a nice leaf pack like precoma said for the rear. If you're going to really put your suspension through its paces, get coilovers. Otherwise, 5100's with little to no preload will ride like butter.

That is what I have holding me over until I get some FOX resi's.

i have the 5100s all around, camburg 4' spindles, and an all pro 3 inch pack. the truck sits level, and i have 32's which look too small. but if you put 33s on, its perfect. it looks sweet

My 5100's are set at "0" in the front with stock coils and Camburg spindles.

My BFG A/T's are actually just shy of 33" (285/75-16). They are plenty big for 4"-5" of lift

I got my 5100's from Down South Motorsports because they had the best price. Just make sure that you mention TW so you get your discount and specify the amount of lift you're planning on for the rear.

They sent me standard travel rears instead of extended travel. I let them know, but it never got dealt with. So avoid that by being very clear about your rear lift

I'm all for buying local but your local shop is obviously not familiar with lift kits and seems to spew bullshit by the truck load. Do the install yourself, there are a lot of good DIY threads on this forum and, as BJMOOSE said, if something ever does break, you'll know how to fix it. I'll also echo what others have said, Wheelers Offroad, Downsouth Motorsports or Toytec Lifts are all great vendors and treat their customers well.
