Have any of you guys replaced the back glass or even front panel on your iphones with some of the color conversion kits out there?

I'm skeptical of the front panel but I think the aluminum backs are pretty cool and am considering ordering one.

Here's a site that has colored back and front glass, color conversion kits and brushed/colored aluminum backs.

    http://iphone4parts.com/shop/verizon-iphone-parts-c-97.html

What problems do you think I would run into replacing the glass back with metal?

Nice. I was thinking about ordering the back glass assembly in orange but I'm not sure if I want to void my warranty. I guess if I needed to send it back I could just put the white back on it. I wonder where Panda Jerk ordered his stuff from.

Only replace the back!!!! I replaced the front of mine to make it black and white (originally black, changed to white screen) and now my phone is broken people can't hear me talk and I took it in and they won't do shit since its not factory. I have to pay the MSRP for a new iPhone without a contract. So be careful! You may think your won't break but that's what I thought until it happened!

Yeah thats what I was afraid of. I just wanted the back anyway. Front and back would be cool but I originally just wanted a brushed aluminum back so I wouldn't have to worry about the glass. Of course I saw the orange and other colored replacement glass. Not sure what I want to do now. It's going to be sitting in an otterbox anyway which is envy green/gray so I think I might just go with the aluminum. bright orange might contrast weird with the green since you would be able to see it through the hole for the apple and camera lense/flash.

Brushed aluminum is tight I had it. I bought mine for about $15 or so and the 2 screw mounts were plastic as opposed to the metal on the factory back so one of them ended up breaking off after a while.

I own Jumptronics Cell Phone repair here in Oklahoma. I have been a certified tech for over 5 years with AT&T and branched off on my own to do Cell Repair. I have done over hundreds of iPhone 4, 3's etc. If you are really interested in wanting to get it done right and not mess it up yourself I'd be more than happy to do it. I have people send me phones all the time. They look sweet!

Do you have a supplier for the parts or would I need to get them and then ship you the phone along with replacement glass? I guess I would be interested but I would have to borrow a smartphone from somebody... I'll ask around

I have a supplier for parts for sure. Sometimes I have sent "Loaner" iPhones out to people that send them to me for a little extra fee just to cover shipping etc. So def let me know what you would like to do and PM me. Thanks
