CB mic triggers subwoofers to 'pop'...?

Just installed a cobra 75 in my truck. When I hit the mic I can hear my subs reacting to the frequency. How do I fix this?

More of an audio guy, new to cb's

 

Moved my cb wire and tried a few different grounds and no fix yet, it's definitely a frequency thing. Maybe when I tune my antenna with a swr meter it'll help

 

How is your cb wired? Best way is straight to the battery. Also make sure your coax isn't near any other wires that may interfere. Good luck!

 

I forgot to add that I could just be the radio. Some are better than others at blocking out RF noise. My Cobra 18 was terrible. I could hear every working of the truck through it. And going near power lines? Forget it. The Connex I have now is far better at blocking it out.

 

This could be your problem. When I installed mine I ran the coax right next to the sub's rca cables. Had the same problem where the cb was causing interference in the subs. So I moved the coax to the other side of the truck, problem solved.

Also make sure your using a good quality coax cable. This will also cut down on interference.
