Need a better tire on my 06 taco dc V-6 long bed for towing dry and wet highways. Trailer wieghts 3500lbs, using a WDH and brake controller (truck and trailer sit level). The tires I have now are michelin LTX m/s 2 with 40,ooo miles with good tread, looking to replace soon. Since I got this heavier trailer, starting from a dead stop, the tires brake loose on dry pavement. The michelin's have preformed well otherwise. The small tread pattern could be a factor. 90% of my driving and towing is highway. Should I look at dunlop or firestone?

Between those two I would definitely say Firestone, but both would be a step down from the michelins.

But there are plenty of good tires out there:

The michelins you already have rank #1 for dry traction in the highway all season category.
