Wow, never really came over to the 1st Generation Tacoma side before, it's like going into a new room in a house you've lived in for a while.

Always been in the 2nd Gen side of the forums. Love my truck but I gotta say I always liked the original Tacomas also.

    Kick ass!

yeah nothing personal but I dont care for the new taco...they are as big as the old tundra... toyota no longer makes the mini truck they were famous for... they should have kept taco...used the new taco as the tundra...and then used the new tundra as the FTX or whatever it was as a concept

350tacozilla is dead on, but because of the American consumer requesting more room , more power, more everything, the thought of less is more has never been more true and relevant. With that said, I do own a 2nd gen. because I am not mech. inclined, and I got a smoking deal. I am looking at a 1st gen. for a Christmas gift, (for myself, because I am a selfish bastard). Everyone else will get lumps of coal ! :poking:

I don't know from experience, but the 2nd gen trucks seem as if they may me be slightly more delicate. I like the fact that I don't get paranoid over every squeak and rattle, scratchin the paint, and all that other crap. This allows me to squeeze every last drop of potential from my 1st gen truck. Regardless, Tacomas are the shiznit.
