2011 Tacoma TRD Offroad

I just bought an 2011 TRD off road in access cab! I am new to this and would like to know what mods will cancel my warranty! As in how much lift I can do what size of tires, and what engine mods I can do? I am trying to put together a build list!

1-I am looking at a 3 inch lift What is the best lift kit to run
2- I am thinking about 285/70/r16 will this work?
3- I have lots more questions but I will start with those 1 & 2
I am also putting an AT topper with popp out safari tent will I have to do an add a leaf with this?

i'd suggest an Icon coilover lift but it will help you more if you use the search function on the top right.

 

You could go with an adjustable coilover kit but they do require some regular maintenance seeing that you live up here in the great white north where salt is often used on our roads


I would like to recomend the Old Man Emu complete lift with the Dakar springs. I just ordered it myself so I cannot say how it is YET. However there are quite a few people on here that run that lift and it has received great reviews and the reason I ordered it. The dakar springs should help with the topper

As for the tires I believe they are 285/75/16 and they should work with some minor trimming but I have not done mine yet so hopefully someone else who has done it, can chime in.

First off ... Welcome!

For the 3 inch lift kit ... it all depends on what you want out of it. If you just want a less expensive replacement for your shocks now, i would say OME. If you are looking to do some serious off-roading, then look into either Icon or Fox. They are the two that the taco owners have had the most experience with and have worked well with.

If you are going the 3 inch lift kit route, you will either want an AAL to level out the front and rear or a whole new leaf pack.

If you are running a 3 inch lift, then yes the 285's will fit without rubbing, unless you are doing some pretty hard off-roading in which there will be a little rubbing.
