    Hey Guys,
    I currently have a 99 4x4 SR5 Extended Cab, 2.7, 5spd.
My first new truck was a 94 2wd, base model, did not come with a rear bumper of pass. mirror. Then I've had various vehicles over the years. A few years ago, I got another pick-up, an 89 4x4, that was rusted to hell and had a hard time getting up big hills. I loved it, but it was kind of a POS. Both of those were that great Toyota dark red!
I bought an Explorer Sport Trac, which is a nice truck in theory, but at only 70k mi, developed the Explorer Death Rattle. So I decided to stop screwing around. I needed to get back in a Toyota.
I got sticker shock and remembered why I ended up in the Ford in the first place. But it was clear that there is a good reason for the high prices. As they say, "Buy right the first time"
So I've had my '99 for about a year and I love it, and will never stray again.
I seem to prefer the smaller body style of this generation compared to the new ones. And I seem to prefer the 4 cyl to the 6, especially the big 4 that I ended up with. I came here to get more knowledge, to keep my truck on the road and looking good.
I'm 36, have been a motorcycle mechanic for about 15 years. Have built a few of my own from scratch. So if I can help anyone out in that area, please ask.
Here are some pics of my stuff.
Im gonna go look around for a while....
