I decided to upgrade the speaker system in my 2001 Tacoma with some aftermarket speakers and I was would like to hear some feedback from fellow forum members with 2001-2004 Tacos on what works, what speakers to avoid etc. I have reviewed the Crutchfield website too

    • I want the speakers to drop right into the OEM speaker mouting holes
    • I am still using the factory AM/FM, CD, cassette player
    Thanks in Advance

I had a set of alpine 6x8 in the doors, they sounded great. Now I'm running jl audio 5.25 comp set and I can tell a difference. But I do have a JL 300/4 running them. You'll be ok o you get some 5x7/6x8's and run them with the factory radio.
