Hey y'all I joined this website a few weeks back, but have yet to post...till now. This site is an awesome source of information for any Tacoma owner, which is great seeing as how this is not only the first Tacoma I've owned, butalso the first truck I've owned. When I bought the truck it was pretty basic;stock 16" rims with tires, nothing special about it other than it being aPrerunner with the SR5 package. Since I first bought it in February though,I've been trying to turn this taco into something special for me. So far I'vebought and installed a low profile black tool box, black nerf bars, black bullbars with 5" auxiliary lights, 17" black and chrome Black Rhino rimswith 265/65 A/T tires, and a Flowmaster dual exhaust system. Also afterChristmas I will have also added a K&N 63 series aircharger high-flowintake kit, black billet grille, black JDM crystal head lights and black taillights. Overall I'm very happy with the truck, however since it doesn't have aTRD package of any kind, I feel like it sits kind of low which in turn somehowmakes my tires look a little on the small side, especially from a certaindistance. So in order to alleviate this problem I was thinking about adding asmall lift kit, maybe 3" in the front and 2" in the back, if I dothis though I'll need to buy bigger tires. The site I'm looking at says forthis lift kit the ideal tire size is 285/70R17. Does anyone know a good A/T mudtire that fits or comes close to this ratio?

Welcome to TW. You can find pretty much any brand that comes in that size. Lots of people on here run Nitto's.

Welcome to TW!! Your best bet is to look at the pics on the site and see what you like then find out what lift/wheel/tire combo they have and try to duplicate it or put your own spin on it. Good luck! Post pics of your truck too!
