Wheel paint?

When you guys painted your wheels did you use a primer plus the duplicolor wheel paint? Or just the wheel paint?
I am getting my new tires this weekend, and I am going to paint my emblems and do the BHLM as well! Next weekend I will paint my wheels.

 

I use two coats of primer and two coats of duplicolor on my steelies.

 

I just like putting pics of my truck up- We talked already mulie. If you need any more info or help- Shoot me a PM.

 

So what kind of paint did you all use exactly? Did you just use an Air Paint Gun?

 

Rattle can Duplicolor wheel paint

 

Rattle can normal Duplicolor with Duplicolor Sandable primer (to cover a few nicks up)

 

Did you guys tape off the tire or just "rub" off the paint after you were done?

 

I'm kinda picky-so I taped. Had to be careful cause my tires were nearly new...so they still had the lil nipples....almost taped a few onto the rim insted of away from it.

I have heard of people using an index card or whatever and just blocking off right where they are working.
