I have an 04 Accord LX 4 banger and I was surprised that it was made in Japan. Had it since 24k miles. No problems at all at 71k miles. Ride is solid and tranny shifts like its brand new (that generation is known for major transmission problems). Maybe since I live on the West Coast we get a few J-Specs. As for Toyota trucks, at least we have the 4runner still made in Japan lol

I'm glad I bought my 2011 a few months ago. Not a a fan of the 2012 front end.

You can always buy another product if you don't like what they are doing. No way they can keep everyone happy. People keep buying them so my guess is they are doing something right.

Me, I'm buying one in April or so because I've done the Ford and Chevy deal and will not go back.

We have an 06 Accord EX that has given us zero problems.

I'm not a fan of chrome clad wheels either but they have been around a long time. Dodge has used these on the ram pickup and they seem to last. Not my cup of tea but the automaker thinks this is the answer to regular chrome wheels pitting from the weather. I would think that a wheel with a chrome clad cover has to be near the same price as a aluminum chrome wheel. Just my .02. And yes, I'm VERY happy I didn't wait and bought a 2011 in june! :D

The plastic chrome I think would be easier to paint black

I would trade my 17s for those and paint them black

My double cab is coming with the crome clad wheels i am not really digging them either but it is what it is, its a cheap way for the auto makers to make a buck vs actual crome wheel i will say they don't look to bad on mgm i just hope they hold up.

Just bought a new 2012 with sport upgrade package. Much to my surprise, plastic chrome clad wheels. Next question, appears cast aluminum wheels underneath. What do they look like and how hard is it to get the plastic covers off. I have to admit that they fit really well.

Hehe... always amusing to see the owners of yesterdays models hating on the new models... always happens.. always will.

E.G my wife bought a 12 Jeep Rubicon.. It is leaps and bounds better than the 08 she traded in ... MPG, Power, acceleration, torque curve, interior..ETC... If you go on most Jeep forums..you will always find threads dedicated to how much the "new" jeep sucks and how older model owners hate everything about the new model.... no matter how better the new model performs.

The older tacomas are still great looking trucks.. great performers.. well built. The 12's wont change that.. lets hope the new Tacomas hold up as well the outgoing model... I think they will absolutely.. considering that the differences between the 11 and the 12 are less numerous that what the two models have in common.
