    searched the forum and could'nt find much on locking lugnuts. just put on a new set of bfg's all terrains and would like some input on the best ones/kind and what size do i get?
    i own a o6 tacoma trd 4wd.

    where i live, the peeps will steal anything not bolted down. heck, two guys got caught last year stealing the copper flashing off the court house. that's how bad it is.
    anyway, just trying to slow'em down enough to catch'em.

    I had a set of Toyota wheel locks on my last Tacoma and the tire guys over torqued the locking lug to the point of me breaking not only the special socket but also the head of the lug trying to loosen it. boy was that lug a PITA to have removed. Never again will I buy wheel locks!

    Don't waste your money. For $50-$100 anyone can buy a wheel lock removal kit. I worked at Discount Tire for several years, and when people would lose the key, we would use the removal kit and get the locks off in just a couple minutes. If someone wants your wheels and tires, they're going to get them.

    All wheel locks ever do is keep honest people honest, and leave you stranded when you get a flat and lose the key.

    always rely on yourself, should have taking them off before hand. reminds of of a coworker that bought some new "bling tires". 40 miles down the road one of his wheels fell off and caused some serious damage. i asked him if he checked the torque on the lugs when he first got it back, then again after 25 miles. nope, was the answer. i told him lesson learned eh?

    Slight deterrent, but if someone wants them, they remove the locking nut too with a locking nut remover. About $15 from napa..

    most of them don't have $15, let alone a ride to napa to buy it.

    i'm just asking if anyone has locking lugs, and are they of good quality. what size fits my truck? stock 06 tacoma 4wd.

    for me it's a good investment, never lost anything i could'nt find. anyway, most are opportunists, just want to slow them down so i can beat their ass.......i hate theives, scum.

    I just got a 2012 Tacoma and have a set of Gorilla Guard II wheel locks laying around. They are 12X1.5 Acorn part # 61631N. Will these work with stock TRD sport rims?
