I dont have the .45. But I have the 9mm XDM 3.8 and the .40 Cal XD Subcompact 3". Absolutely love them both. So far, flawless!

I've shot the M&P, own a XD and own a 4th gen G19. The M&P shot well and I was surprised at how well the gun shot. The G19 was a gift. I'm not the biggest Glock fan, but it's growing on me. The XD is a .40subcompact and even though it's a .40 and a sc, it's still fun to shoot.

Hold all three, and go with the one that fits your had the best. They are all good guns.

I've never shot the XD but I handled both the XD and the M&P today. Even though I've carried 4 Glocks on duty and swear by them, I'm really impressed with the ergonomics, fit and finish of XD and M&P. The M&P felt the best in my hands but I hear Springfield Armory (XD) has a wonderful customer service. I bet you won't be disappointed with any of them.

id have to agree with pretty much everyone. its either glock, XD, or M&P. I bought an M&P on my 21st for my carry weapon. It just fit better in my hand than the xd did. and i honestly didnt like the grip safety on. all shoot well though and you will be happy with any of them. just find the one you like best. as far as price goes, they are all pretty close to eachother so do not worry about that
