    If your truck is stolen because it was running and you weren't in it, the cops will call you a douche and make fun of you at the station.

    1.) The point of locking the car while it is running is to prevent it from being stolen. Duh!

    2.) The cops are douches for not preventing the car theft in the first place.

    3.) No one cares what the cops think.

    4.) The OP asked a specific question and you responded with a non sequitor. Stay on topic.

    The cops are douches regardless of crime prevention. Unless of course they drive Tacomas and post on TacomaWorld. Then they're alright.

    Well it's spelled non sequitur, but you're right I should have said:
    Don't try to defeat your truck's anti-theft devices. If you leave your Tacoma running with the key in the ignition, even with the doors locked, IT WILL GET STOLEN eventually.
