Thats such an aggressive looking akk terrain that is why I love them so much. As far as driving in rain no matter what tire you have it still sucks.

i want to try a set of cooper stt man they look like they would rock the shit hard. i have heard some very positive reviews from guy's that have actually run them and used them they also come in some unique sizes which is cool like 295 imo is the perfect size for the 3 inch lift.

also green diamond makes a mean looking and performing mud terrain with this trick silica compound embeded in the rubber right down to the belts and it constantly renews itself. so you literally have thousands of biting edges on the tire. i would check those out or duratracks or stick with the mtz's i hear they are awesome as well.

    Try these! I love em!

I spent over a week offroad while hunting. True test of these tires. I encountered anything you could think of. Street, snow, snow melt slush, shale, etc..

I was told by locals not to go down a certain hill unless I had chains. Jokingly I said, "I don't need chains, I have a Tacoma". I encountered this hill, and went down it. Slick as hell! I made it back up though without even deflating.

Went wheeling with my slick MTZ's and after that I will be going with a M/T. A guy that was with us had these tires and they performed great.

Cooper makes Mickey Thompson. The STTs and the MTZs are pretty much the same thing except the MTZs lugs wrap all the way around continuously without any breaks in the pattern.

    huh:confused:

i did not know that so basically the same tire then. everybody i hear from that has either of those tires the mtz or the stt seem to really like them a lot.

to the op i would say either the mtz or stt or duratracs depending on the climate your in.

i can't speak on the trail fappers so far i have had them for only a couple months i really like them so far they are perfectly fine for the road never lost traction in the rain or any where yet.

they look great and i think you could with some looking around get a set pretty darn cheap mine shipped came out to 980 something which was awesome!

i need to see how they do this winter in the snow and stuff before i go giving them my stamp of approval though and i need to get the truck in some mud and sand as well to see how they do. i can't imagine they would be very good in the sand i could see them digging right in and hanging you up in an instant even aired down a bit but, idk.

so far though i really like the nitto's i don't think they are as good a tire as the mtz or the stt though and for that matter the duratracs.

i personally never ran the m/t or the cooper but, i did have duratracs and they where possibly some of the best tires i have ever had on a 4x4 they where the shit in the snow like no joke.

i would have went that route again but they didn't make them in 295's :(

when i do get some new ones though i think i'm going with the cooper this time or the mickey thompson.
