    hey everyone

Im looking into picking up a new 2012 Tacoma next week. I always like the Tacoma and finally got myself to pick one up.

Before anyone goes on the 2011 vs 2012 debate...im getting a good deal on a 2012 Tacoma. I figure if i pick up the 2012 it'll hold better resale value longer since its a year newer. I do like the 2011 but heck if i get a good deal might as well get the 2012.

I do have a few debates as to what to get. I am choosing between the SR5 basic or the SR5 with TRD off road. I wasn't sure do I need the off road package and the locking rear diff. It will be a 4x4 double cab. I use it to go to Tahoe on occasion to go snow boarding
    but not necessarily off roading...

    please help me

I doubt you will need the locker if you don't off road.
I don't have it and have a lot of fun off roading. If the off road bug bites you later you will still have a lot of fun without it. My $.02
