    Hi,

My interior window molding piece by the lower sill has ripped off?

My ownership expeirence with Toyota so far has been great but this is the first time that a new truck (2010) has a part that failed so quickly. Indeed, my suspicions about the build quality not being so great is slowly being a fact these days. Little things here and there (e.g. when i turn the ac on, i hear this clicking sound), are all adding up and it's getting annoying.

I've also ranted about the interior plastic scratching soo easily in another post. I know trucks are meant to be used and what not, but my pen lightly grazed the plastic and i couldn't believe there was a scratch in the plastic already. Good grief.

Anybody know how much this will cost or is it even necessary to fix?

    UGH, I hope.

My mileage is a bit over. I drive a lot. Bought this truck in 2010 January and i have 44,000 miles on it so far.

Can anybody else chime in and let me know if this is even worth fixing? I'm not sure if this strip that is ripping off is even important?

its probably not too much of an issue, since its a seal on the interior of the window. might hear some wind noise but other than that if the dealer wants an outrageous amount for rubber, then you probably will be fine ripping it off and forgetting it was there...
