Wire Routing

My camper shell comes in within the next few days and I am going to be adding a basket to the top with 4 lights on the front and 2 small light bars to the back. What is the best route for all the wires in getting power to them and then running them to the cab for switches. I am going to be adding 3 carling switches to the "sunglass" holder in the ceiling to control those sets of lights.

 

I would wire everything through relays. If you do it that way you'll end up with low current wiring from the switches, through the existing gromments in the firewall to the relays mounted near the battery under the hood. High current wiring from battery, through added fuses or fuseblock to relays. Route wiring from relays along frame to rear of truck. From there you'll either have to drill through the bed and shell to get to the light bars and rack, or just wrap a harness together and run it between the cab and bed/shell.
