Should I re-gear my 6" tacoma which has 35" tires?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Adding rotational mass to a vehicle (going to a lrarger tire, for example), puts more load on an engine/drive train than anything else. Re gearing increases the leverage the drive train has over the larger tires, thus reducing the amount of work needed to get the vehicle rolling, thus returning better mpg. Every vehicle that I have re geared, has returned better mpg, and better performance.

    4.88 gears 3 inch suspension lift custom wheels and tires custom audio
    Regearing made a huge difference in my truck. I had 3.92 gears and got 10 mpg with 33's. I put 4.88 gears in and got 16mpg and a extremely notice of power and i am upgrading to 35's soon so will make plenty of hp.:D

    did you have have 3.92 gears put in. because stock. 3.73.

    no, the 99's had some with 3.92 gears and unforyunately i got one. the code on the inside of door was ran and said 3.92 gearing from the computer, guy said he had never seen one with those gears in it stock:D
