Yup he came in at 10 and asked if I was coming back in.. he said he guessed he could stay until 2. I said uhm.. I'll get home about 11.. then have to get up at 1 and get ready very very quickly to get here at 2... no probably not lol

My partner came in about 4 when he was done doing his christmas thing.

I can't wait to get a new job.

I'm happy to be at a "9-5 job" so that I don't have to work on holidays. But I feel for everyone who has to, and a big thanks to all the emergency responders on duty on the holidays!

I will (am) working Christmas day but had off Thursday, Friday and Saturday. No holiday pay but someone has to haul coal so you can light up your tree!

I wish we did 12 hr shifts...I was a dispatcher for another local department before going into the military and they were on 12s...thats why I volunteer for OT. I think of the 14 hr shifts as just "only" 2 hrs over a normal. lol

    Yay for dispatchers! lol...

I do like 12 hour shifts as well. I just think it's crap when they force us to work over. It's hard as hell to sit here for 18 or 24 hours straight and not sleep. Back starts to hurt.. then sometimes you just feel sick! Now I live down a curvy back ass road which isn't fun to drive while insanely tired..

The direct tv guy told me they have to work christmas too. That's nuts!!

We had 3 or 4 people go to jail today lol then many wrecks and one house fire :( Not so quiet christmas night!

So ready for a few days off!! erm.. well few days off from dispatch - still have to work the other job.
