computer whizzerds please help

my dilemma began with windows popups in several pages including my xfinity homepage saying "script error" and that it could not recognize a certain word blahblah.
so i get the bright idea to run a defragger...the FULL defragger last night, which took about 6 hours!!! now, not only can i not access my email, but i cannot view any videos here or on youtube etc., nor can i bring up ships and planes on their respective live trackers.
i have re-installed adobe flashplayer and javascript at least a dozen times each, but these places say i don't have either installed, even though when i test that claim at their setup sites, they say i DO have them installed!
WTF???? and thanks for any help.

This will be the shortest and dumbest thread on TW because I just found the problem-I guess the defragger tripped on "active-x filtering" and when I turned it off, everything went back to normal. Thanks anyway.

 

check your defragger... it may have tripped on the active-x filtering. Make sure its in the OFF position.
