    On my old car I had 5% all around with 35% on the windshield. It looked awesome but I couldn't see shit at night (I mean out the sides and back, the windshield was fine), I got a ticket in Mooresville one day, and couldn't pass an inspection so I finally stripped it and put on 35%. I have 35% on the front of my Taco and I'm fine with it. The darker tint looks great but I would rather not worry about tickets and inspections.

    I had 20% on my 06. It matched the back pretty good and I ran into zero problems with the law. I am planning to do the same with my 11 next week.

    This ^^. As Madjik_Man's reference indicates, adding 35% to the front factory glass should net about 27% "effective" tint, which roughly approximates the rear factory glass.
