I have a 5 yr old in a booster and a 2 yr old in a car seat. No issue. HOWEVER. I cannot fit the newborns seat in conveniently so it's the wifes van when we all go somewhere. it will be easier once the 5 yr old gets big enough to not need the booster

Secondary Air Filter removal. More to come hopefully.

I am in the exact same situation, which led me to the Tacoma I bought. I have enough room to fit 2 car seats, plus my 6 yr old in the middle. Things can get tight, and I prolly wouldn't take a 300 mile road trip, but it provides them enough room, and when they get out of car seats, they'll have more than enough room.

    Here's what I'm talking about:

    TacomaCarSeatweb_2e9f934d72b99424caac1b5c4d9573da78198fab.jpg

The front seat is about 2 clicks from all the way back. There's no way the car seat will fit. As you can see, it can't even be secured into the base.

I know in my Access Cab, they only put the UAS Anchor system in the seat behind the driver and the front passenger seat (but that seat should only be used in an emergency)
UAS is mandatory in Canada, I don't know how common it is elsewhere, but it does provide a more secure installation.

Yeah, I'd like to use the LATCH system but it won't work in the middle so I use the seat belt. It works fine with the metal "crimp" thingamabob that you put on the seat belt to keep it from loosening.

I too have twins (boys 15 months). I own a 2002, 4x4, xtended cab tacoma. My question is; is it possible to have to baby car seats in the back? This truck is not our main transportation (we have a 2004 dc), just to get the boys from point a to point b. Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you talking about forward facing? If so, shouldn't be a problem. Infant seats would be a problem, as you can see by my picture.

Not too sure what kind of room is in the 2002 model, but if it's anything like the '09, it will be tight. I had a rear facing infant seat in the back of my '09 access cab a couple weekends ago. VERY tight fit. The front passenger seat had to be almost all the way forward, which was very uncomfortable for the mother (had to turn off the passenger airbag she was sitting so far forward). So, it can be done, if you have no other options, but I wouldn't want to do it on a regular basis. A front facing seat, however, I don't think would be a problem.

:DYeah, boys will be facing forward, which is a good thing for the extended cab. I have no other choice, gonna have to buy 2 more baby car seats. Let's just hope for the best
