    Hey Tw,

Tought I would get some others opinons on purchasing electronics off craigslist

I've done a lot of transactions off craigslist buying and selling but I've always been weary of buying electronics. I've been thinking about getting a tablet like the hp touchpad just for messing around I missed the fire sale for 150 but craigslist I've found new factory sealed ones for like 260-280 and "slightly" used ones w/extras for 220-250 and I can always haggle the price alittle it is cheaper than Amazon 290 and ebay 250-300 but I just don't know there is shady people out there.

How can u really trust something factory sealed of course there not gonna let me open to check it

And slightly used u just never know what's on there or something ya know?

What's your opinion on it? Would u buy something? Have u bought anything like this from craigslist?

Like cell phones, tablets, ipads, ipods, etc. There is a lot of possiblities of things to be purchased

I wouldn't buy anything electronic. If you hook it up or turn it on and it doesn't work your screwed. Pay the extra money and buy new with a warranty.

I've sold some cheap stuff-Old DVD player, some radio stuff. Just plugged it in and showed them everything worked.

It's kinda one of those you gotta decide how much you are willing to lose. You could get lucky...but you could get hosed. I'm not sure I'd buy a computer on CL...

Ive done it before , ive bought some cel phones and I went as far as buying a T1i DSLR off CL. Its not too bad but you also have to know how to gauge your seller. If you go in there and know nothing about what you are trying to buy then it might end up a bad deal for you , however if you know a decent amount of info on the product then you are usually able to call BS on the seller.
