double cab subwoofer measurements?

ok let me start off by saying that i am not a home at the moment or i would go measure it myself, im currently on another government paid year long vacation in afghanistan. i'm trying to buy a sub online that will fit behind the rear seats of my 08 double cab. i actually bought a 6 inch bazooka a couple weeks ago thinking that it would fit but now im being told that it probable wont. so if i can get the measurments i can shop a little more smartly for a sub online. and better yet i would love to hear what you guys have rocking behind your seats. thanks in advance

Are you looking for a sub/amp all-in-one-unit, or a separate sub and amp?

 

either way just something that sounds good and is quality made

I have the supercrewsounds single 10" box. Works pretty well, would love to have a Mr. Marv box, but the budget didn't allow for it. So, if you're on a budget I'd go with the supercrewsounds box. I'm running a Polk MM1040dvc and have been really satisfied with it. In the box it does really well with rock music such as Dave Matthews and even Korn or Audioslave. Does ok with hip/hop but I guess you are inherently limited by the cone circumference. With a good set of components though it sounds really good overall and blends well. I'm not endorsing this sub, just giving you an idea of what others are running and how they like it. You may want to check out that JBL sub, i think it is the MS series. Looks like a quality unit and fairly priced, although I've never demoed one.

it fits perfectly snug and the quality is great imo..i tried to build one,but there was problem after problem..and this isnt too expensive either,but it seems the price went up since i got mine..check out the link on the bottom,the picture gives you an idea of the measurements.Good luck

JL stealthbox. Easy install, great sound and looks factory

 

Not only does Marv build an unbeleivably sturdy box, but he knows our trucks very well and fit is perfect. I knew it was going to be good just by the way he packaged it for shipping, but once unwrapped, I found it to be the nicest quality I have seen.

Just as important, he knows audio gear. He builds boxes that will maximize your driver, the volume is important. While discussing my build over teh phone, we also discussed my amp selections...he knew the space needed for that and made sure two of them could fit on the rack as I wanted it that way. I was not limited to a certain style either, he can build a dual encloser, single on either side, or a single in the center. Great stuff.

 

I can attest to the quality of Marv's work. I purchased door speaker mounts from him and they were perfect. Fit is perfect and performance is perfect. Had I to do it over again, I would have gotten him to build me a box as well. Unfortunately I blew my budget on my components so I had to sacrifice somewhere. If you spend the little bit of extra money now and get a Mr. Marv box, I'm sure you would save that money on the back end when your generic box fails you. But its your system and your money, so do what you think is best for you. Good luck and I'm sure we would all like to see some pics of your setup once you get it all installed.

What are you putting in the box he is building you?

 

I had the same experience with Mr Marv. He built me a single 10" sealed enclosure and attached amp rack for a 10" Arc series subwoofer. It fits perfectly and is completely hidden when the seat is up with no slapping or other issues. Everything worked out great and he was available for multiple telephone calls when I had questions on installation. I also got the door brackets from him and the Hybrid Clarus components that I put in the front doors. Don't have pics of that but they sound amazing.

Here are some pics for reference. Please ignore the oddly patchy sound deadener. I plan to cover that up with some sort of fascia but I haven't yet done so.
