    Hey guys,
So I just bought a 2006 Tacoma and this guy had an Ipod attachment comming out from behind the glove box, it was for one of the old ipods, because when I try and hook it up to my phone it says "charging is not supported on this device". I popped off the glove box and the wire doesnt seem like it would be too difficult to get to, but what Im curious about is is there another type of cable that would let me charge and play from my ipod/iphone. Also, where can I get these cables from because the one he has is actually damaged around the connecting port and doesn't always work properly.

    Thanks for any/all advice.

Apple's old spec charged via firewire or USB. Many manufacturers built to their firewire spec, for which Apple then dropped support.

You're SOL without a new head unit with a USB port or an old ipod.

Crutchfield.com is a good start, and cost is dependent upon what you get.
