    Doh! Sorry. forgot to include a pic. I'll put it up here in few min. It is an eyelet that is attached with two bolts on the front passenger side on Non-off road trucks. The OR have an actual tow hook. From discussions on TW it's fuction is to tie the vehicle down to the car carrier when being transported to the dealership.

    Many use it as an attachment for towing or recovery with no reported problems that I have heard of.

    they might have been but I didn't try because of a few things:

    1) they needed a relay
    2) the connectors needed to be changed
    3) there was no place mount both of them near the stock location
